We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our Quality Assurance team at our food manufacturing plant in Poughkeepsie, NY. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, food safety, and regulatory compliance in our production facility. Technician will ensure food safety and product quality standards are met and ensure GMPs, SOPs, and safe work practices are also being met. Ideal candidate will perform quality assurance testing on test and wet/dry mixes raw materials. We are looking for someone with leadership skills who can also function as a team player.

We are looking for a motivated candidate to join our team. This position operates Monday through Friday, with some potential for overtime on weekends. All driving is within a five-mile radius between our warehouse(s), plant, and freezer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safely and responsibly drive our tractor trailer, adhering to all legal requirements.
  • Load and unload trailers using motorized equipment, moving pallets up to 3,000 lbs., sometimes by pushing or pulling (potentially uphill).
  • Hand-unload items from pallets at ground level and transport them on a hand truck. Items weigh between 20 to 55 lbs., occasionally up to 500 lbs. per hand truck load.
  • Crank trailer dolly legs up or down to hook or unhook from tractors.
  • Perform warehouse duties when not driving, including moving trucks between warehouse(s), freezer, and plant.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to count multi-tiered items.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and completing documents.
  • Effective communication skills, including the use of phone systems and two-way radios.
  • Compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Forklift certification.

Required Skills:

  • Class A CDL License.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution.
  • Ability to operate equipment.
  • Capability to stand or walk 100% of the time.
  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. and maintain fitness for duty each day.
