Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting in the production of baked goods, ensuring food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. This part-time role involves preparing, baking, and packaging products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Production Support: Assist in the preparation and baking of various products according to established recipes and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Product Testing: Bake products to test and ensure they meet quality standards, including appearance, flavor, and texture.
- Food Safety: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Safe Work Practices, and hygiene standards to maintain food safety.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and scales.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including ingredient usage and product output.
- Sanitation: Ensure work areas are kept clean and sanitary, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Problem Solving: Report any issues related to food safety, quality, or equipment to the supervisor and assist in resolving them.
Required Skills:
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic understanding of food safety and quality standards.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping purposes.
