Food Technologist
The Food Technologist is an essential part of the EFCO R&D Team. Reporting to the Research and Innovation Manager, this position supports the development of new and innovative ingredients for the baking and foodservice industries. The qualified candidate will be responsible for the ideation of new products and packaging while collaborating with customers and co-packers on custom formulated products. This also includes the formulation and preparation of lab samples as well as internal presentations, product specifications, nutritional information, and ingredient compositions. Responsibilities also include overseeing formula and procedure changes while creating batch sheets, ingredient statements and regulatory documentation. The qualified candidate must be comfortable interfacing with customers regarding product questions and documentation requests. This position will demonstrate a key leadership role in the creation and implementation of cost optimization projects and raw material risk management opportunities, while supporting enterprise resource planning, nutrition, and project management software solutions.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Food Technology
- 2+ years related work experience
- Strong organization, planning, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with excellent computer skills
- Ability to interact with associates at all levels where the ability to gain cooperation is critical.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment
