The Atlantic Bakery Expo on March 18 - 19, 2012 in Atlantic City drew many impressed visitors to the Efco booth.  We received great feedback on our fillings and mixes in regard to taste, appearance and quality. We exhibited many of our new items that have been developed and have broadened our product line.  Cream cheese filling was featured in bars, tarts and cookies and got rave reviews. Donut dips, caramel items and hot fudge sparked a lot of interest! Our 2 lb. pouches were on display and attendees were able to realize “hands-on” how easy it is to use this type of packaging.  Our R&D and Sales team did a great job preparing and making sure we never ran out of samples! Thank you to all of our current and future customers who stopped by to visit us.  We look forward to seeing you again in the future!




Sadie Effron Celebrates 105th Birthday

Sadie Effron, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, recently celebrated her 105th birthday.  Sadie was married for 69 years to   William Effron, longtime President of Efco Products.  Sadie worked alongside her husband for many years.  She graduated magna cum laude from Marist College at the age of 72.

EFCO Products Announces Organizational Changes

Poughkeepsie, NY December 27, 2010–Efco Products, Inc. is pleased to announce the following organizational changes effective January 1, 2011.

Ira Effron has been named Co-Chairman. Since January 2000, Ira has served as President/Chief Executive Officer. He began his career with Efco in 1960 as a sales representative. Ira will join Jack Effron as Co-Chairman. Jack has served as Chairman of the Board since January 2000.

Steven Effron will hold the position of President/Chief Executive Officer. Steven joined Efco in June 1995 as New England Sales Manager and has also served in the areas of Product Development and Quality Assurance. Steven has been Executive Vice President since 2004.

“Ira Effron has been an exceptional leader throughout his career at Efco Products”, said Steven Effron. “His impact has been tremendous, and we thank him for his extraordinary dedication and vision. We look forward to Ira and Jack’s continued strategic involvement.” On the appointment of Steven Effron, Ira Effron said, “With his experience and his extensive knowledge of our industry, Steve is the right leader to guide Efco Products in the future.”

The International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) on September 26-29 in Las Vegas drew quite a crowd to the Efco booth. Visitors were impressed with all of our new filling flavor combinations including Cream Cheese, Cranberry Apple, Marshmallow Crème, Bananas Foster, Pomegranate Raspberry, Caramel Topping, Blue Cotton Candy, and Berry Mango. Efco’s booth looked better than ever thanks to our R & D and Sales team and there were a variety of impressive samples including a Harvest Parfait and Orange Cranberry Creamsicle Cake (see picture below). The IBIE provided Efco with a great opportunity to showcase upcoming, new products such as cream cheese, caramel, icings and glazes.
