No EFCO products were impacted by the recent egg recall due to the possible contamination of salmonella. EFCO does not use raw eggs in any of its processes, and the eggs that are purchased by EFCO are heat treated, which eliminates the presence of salmonella. All heat treated eggs which are bought by EFCO are tested by the supplier and confirmed as negative for salmonella prior to shipping. In addition, EFCO’s Quality Assurance team has sent samples of egg ingredients to an outside laboratory to confirm that our supplier’s testing results that the eggs we receive test negative for salmonella.
